Many liner replacements begin by draining thousands of gallons and leaving the owner to refill the pool over several days or pay for a water delivery. Lester Pools uses dedicated equipment to store your existing water and return it after the new liner is installed. That reduces waste, shortens the refill stage and means the pool does not have to be re-balanced from zero.
We measure the pool carefully because every in-ground pool has its own dimensions and a liner ordered from a rough estimate can wrinkle or fit poorly. After the old liner is removed, we inspect the floor, wall panels, corners and fittings around the skimmer, returns, main drain and steps. Anything that could damage the new liner is addressed while the shell is open and accessible.
The new vinyl liner is then positioned and vacuumed into place so it seats smoothly. Fittings are cut in and sealed, the stored water is returned, and the pool is brought back into operation. You also choose the liner pattern, an important decision because its color and appearance will define the pool for years.
Patching is reasonable for a clean puncture in material that is still flexible and sound. Once the vinyl is hard, faded or tearing near seams and the waterline, replacement is usually the better long-term choice. Repeated patches can turn into paying for a new liner replacement in instalments.
