Swimming Pool Installation in New Jersey

Pool installation is the construction of a new swimming pool: laying out and excavating the site, setting the wall structure and plumbing, installing the filtration equipment, fitting the liner or finish, completing the surround, and filling and balancing the water for the first time.

Deciding to put in a pool is the easy part. The lasting decisions are its shape, size, depth and position in the yard. Lester Pools builds custom in-ground pools in New Jersey and Staten Island, starting with the property, access and intended use—not a one-size-fits-all catalogue.

What we build

We build vinyl-liner in-ground pools in a wide range of shapes, from clean rectangles to free-form designs and beach entries. Options can include steps and benches, slides, fountains, waterfalls, grottos, lighting and lap-pool configurations for serious swimming. We plan indoor and outdoor pools, and reference photos are welcome when you have a particular look or feature in mind.

How a pool build runs

The process starts on site. We assess access, grade, drainage and water-table conditions, choose a practical equipment-pad location, and consider how the pool relates to the house, sun and surrounding landscape. Construction then moves through layout and excavation, wall-panel setting and bracing, plumbing and pressure testing, equipment installation, liner fitting, coping and surround work, filling, system startup and initial water balancing.

Permits, inspections, electrical work, fencing and local safety requirements vary by municipality. They belong in the project plan from the beginning, so the sequence, responsibilities and required approvals are clear before construction reaches a critical stage.

Choosing a size and shape

Bigger is not automatically better. A well-planned pool leaves room to walk around it, position furniture and use the rest of the yard. Depth should reflect how your family will actually swim, stand, play or dive. Shape, steps, benches, access and the choice of vinyl liner should be considered together. We also explain how pool size, equipment and added features affect long-term pool maintenance and operating needs.
